Jobs and Careers
Join our team of Care Assistants where a flexible work-life has never been so rewarding!
And when we say ‘rewarding’, we’re not just talking money. As a care assistant, you can make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people in your local area, giving them the support, they need to live independently in their own homes.
No specific qualifications or background in care is required to become a care assistant. What’s more important is that you have a natural calling to care for people. With this intact, we provide all the training you need to become one of our exceptional caring champions.
We reward our carers generously for the support they give our customers. With competitive rates of pay and a comprehensive training programme, plus extra training as when it’s needed, we’ve become the care company of choice for many. You’ll also benefit from a flexible work lifestyle, a supportive environment and the opportunity to work for an organisation that truly values you.
Due to increasing work opportunities, we have a need to recruit Care Assistants to expand our service within the Huddersfield area.
You would be responsible for meeting the support needs of our service users, in a way that respects the individual’s dignity and promotes their independence. You would be expected to travel to the service user’s home and assist them with agreed daily tasks.
The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or domestic support.

Principal Responsibilities
Your role would include helping service users with tasks such as:
-
Washing & dressing and personal appearance.
-
Shopping & meal preparation
-
Assisting with the management medication
-
Support with daily routines
-
Socialising and leisure activities
-
Helping service users access the community.
What we are looking for
We do not always look for previous experience as it isn’t essential. We are seeking caring people who understand the immense satisfaction that can be gained from offering assistance and a listening ear to someone who, through a variety or hardships or just plain old age, needs your help.
We ensure that all our staff have equal opportunities to develop and progress, in keeping with your own personal and professional goals. We place a high emphasis in training & development and understand the confidence and pride that having appropriate training can instil to staff in carrying out their job. A comprehensive induction training package will be undertaken by all new workers prior to commencing lone work in the field, this training will include a period of on-the-job shadow training with an experienced member of staff. All Care Assistants that are new to care work will undertake the Care Certificate within their initial 12-week induction period covering 15 separate care standards.
