We are currently recruiting full-time Community Home Care Assistants to support individuals across Central Huddersfield (HD1–HD5). This is a permanent, full-time role for someone who is caring, dependable, and eager to help others live independently in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role

Position: Community Home Care Assistant (Full-Time)Location: HD1–HD5

(local rounds only)

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: Immediate starts following training and DBS clearance

Shifts:

• Minimum 37.5 hours per week

• Scheduled between 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, including weekends

• Optional overtime available

Pay Rates:

• £12.70/hour – Weekdays before 6 PM

• £13.25/hour – Evenings and weekends

• Mileage paid at 25p per mile (Google Maps), plus HMRC relief support (up to 45p per mile total)

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, including:

• Personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)

• Safe mobility support and equipment use

• Medication assistance

• Preparing meals and supporting nutrition

• Companionship and emotional support

• Communicating with families and professionals

• Observing and reporting changes in wellbeing

• Maintaining a clean and safe home environment

What We’re Looking For

• No experience needed – full training provided

• Applicants must live in Huddersfield or Kirklees and have their own transport

• Kind, reliable, and professional individuals

• Good verbal communication skills

• Flexible and committed to regular shift work
