At Bespoke Care & Support Services (BCSS), 2025 has been a transformative year. We’ve overhauled our entire suite of Policies and Procedures, refreshed our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) framework, and launched a completely redesigned Service User Guide. Together, these three pillars form a single, connected system designed to deliver safer, more transparent, and person-centred Homecare in Huddersfield and across Kirklees.
The Policy Overhaul – Raising the Bar for Compliance and Practice
Every one of our 24 operational policies, from Safeguarding and Medication Management, to Equality & Inclusion and Digital Care Records has been rewritten to reflect the latest CQC Single Assessment Framework and Care Act 2014 standards. Each policy now explicitly links to our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), ensuring that learning from incidents, audits, and feedback feeds directly into policy development.
This isn’t just about ticking compliance boxes, it’s about creating a culture where policies are living documents, guiding everyday decisions and empowering staff to deliver award-winning care with confidence.
The Quality Improvement Plan – Turning Learning into Action
Our QIP is the heartbeat of our quality governance. Updated quarterly and signed off by senior management, it connects policy with evidence, identifying where we can do better and tracking measurable progress.
For example:
Q1 2025: focused on workforce readiness and medication accuracy, achieving 98.4% eMAR compliance.
Q2 2025: concentrated on dignity, equality, and inclusion, with 100% positive client feedback on respectful care.
Q3 2025: strengthened safeguarding practice and emergency response, ensuring all referrals were completed within 24 hours.
The 2026–27 QIP expands this framework even further, embedding quarterly audit themes that align directly with CQC domains such as Safe, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led.
The Service User Guide – Transparency and Empowerment for Every Client
Our new Service User Guide (Version 2025) turns complex regulations into plain English, giving every client and family a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and what they can expect from BCSS.
It includes easy-to-follow sections on:
Safeguarding and confidentiality
Complaints and feedback
Dignity and equality
Emergency support and continuity of care
This guide ensures every person we support, from central Huddersfield to the wider Kirklees area, knows exactly how we protect their safety, dignity, and independence.
How It All Ties Together
Policies set the standards
The QIP measures and improves performance
The Service User Guide communicates what that means for you
Together, they form a closed loop of continuous improvement, the reason BCSS continues to be recognised for delivering Award-Winning Private Care in Huddersfield.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, our focus remains on innovation, transparency, and person-centred quality. Whether it’s through enhanced digital systems, improved staff supervision, or stronger governance links, BCSS is proud to lead the way in high-quality homecare across Kirklees.
