A major change is coming to how homecare is delivered across Kirklees, and it’s one that promises to reshape the future of support for people living independently in their own homes.

Kirklees Council has announced its new Home Support Service (KMCAS-220), due to begin in June 2026. This new framework will replace the existing Dynamic Purchasing System and marks a shift towards outcomes-based, partnership-led care. Rather than short, “time-and-task” visits, the focus will now be on helping people live well, with dignity, stability, and genuine independence.

A New Chapter for Homecare in Huddersfield

For Bespoke Care and Support Services (BCSS), this is an exciting opportunity to continue our mission of delivering compassionate, person-centred support. We’ll soon be submitting our tender to deliver care in Huddersfield Central East and West, as part of Kirklees’ new approach to Homecare in Huddersfield.

The Council’s vision is clear: it wants a high-quality, sustainable care sector that works hand-in-hand with the NHS and community partners. The emphasis will be on:

  • Quality and sustainability – ensuring consistent, safe, and professional support

  • Workforce development – investing in care staff as skilled, respected professionals

  • Local delivery – care shaped around the people and communities it serves

  • Digital innovation – using technology to enhance coordination and transparency

This aligns perfectly with BCSS’s own values and long-standing commitment to excellence. As an award-winning care provider in Central Huddersfield, we’re proud of our record in ethical recruitment, professional development, and compassionate care that goes beyond expectations.

What This Means for Our Community

If successful, this tender would see BCSS recognised as a Lead Provider for the local authority — one of the main partners responsible for coordinating and delivering homecare across our area. It’s more than just a contract; it’s a vote of confidence in the work our staff do every day to make a difference in people’s lives.

Becoming a Lead Provider would bring stability for our workforce, more opportunities for growth, and even stronger connections with the wider health and social care system. It’s a natural next step for a company built on community trust, compassion, and professionalism.

The Road Ahead

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be gathering feedback from our team, service users, and families to make sure our submission reflects the real heart of BCSS, our people. Their dedication, kindness, and commitment to excellence are what set us apart.

Together, we’ll show why Bespoke Care and Support Services is the right choice to help shape the future of homecare across Huddersfield and Kirklees.
